Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of fiftymin ("the app", "we", "our"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.

1. What fiftymin is

fiftymin is a practice management tool for independent mental health professionals. It lets you track patient sessions, calculate monthly billing, and generate WhatsApp-ready invoices. It is not a clinical tool and does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be a licensed or registered mental health professional (psychologist, counsellor, therapist, psychiatrist, or similar) practising in India, and at least 18 years old, to use fiftymin. By signing up you represent that this is the case.

fiftymin is not for patients or their families. If you are a patient looking for support, please speak directly with your therapist.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Do not share your login credentials.

You must provide a valid email address. We may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused.

4. Your data and patient privacy

You own all data you enter into fiftymin. We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.

You must not enter full diagnostic information, clinical notes beyond brief session summaries, or any data that your professional licensing body prohibits storing in a third-party app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use fiftymin for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any professional regulations.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the app.
• Enter false, misleading, or another person's information without authorisation.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the app's infrastructure.

6. Pricing and free tier

fiftymin is currently free to use for solo practitioners. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give existing users reasonable notice before any charges apply, and a free tier will remain available.

We will never charge you without your explicit consent.

7. Availability and data backup

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app runs on AWS infrastructure; outages outside our control may occur.

We recommend keeping your own backup of critical billing records. While we take precautions to prevent data loss, we cannot guarantee against all scenarios and our liability is limited as described below.

8. Limitation of liability

fiftymin is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for:

• Any loss of data, revenue, or business arising from use of the app.
• Errors in billing calculations caused by incorrect data you entered.
• Any professional or regulatory consequences arising from how you use the app.
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed ₹5,000 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We will delete your data within 30 days of a deletion request.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
